Worsted weight cotton or cotton-blend yarn, a 3.25 mm crochet hook, safety eyes, polyester fiberfill, embroidery yarn, a yarn needle, a stitch marker, scissors, keyrings, short metal chains, jump rings and jewellery pliers.

If these are for a child, or for a child's bag

These are small accessories with plastic safety eyes, stuffing and metal hardware. If a keychain will be attached to a child's backpack or given to a child:

• fit the safety eyes exactly as instructed, with the washers pushed fully home, before stuffing;
• for a child under three, leave the safety eyes off entirely and embroider the eyes instead — every design works the same way embroidered;
• close each jump ring completely with pliers, so the two ends meet with no gap, and check it from time to time;
• keep the stuffing firm and the last round closed tightly.
