Triangle Fringe Shawl – Crochet Pattern PDF

It is worked from the top down, starting at the middle of the top edge and growing wider with every row, with a clean spine running down the centre. There is no size to choose and no measurements to take — you keep going until it is as big as you want, finish at the end of a solid band, then add the fringe.
The fabric alternates two bands: four solid rows and three rows of open mesh, over and over. That rhythm gives the shawl its texture and makes it easy to work — after two repeats you know it by heart, and the row table shows exactly how far you have come.

Simple stitches and a two-band repeat. What it asks for is consistency: 2 sts more at each edge and on each side of the spine, every row. Count for the first ten rows; after that the shape tells you when something has gone wrong. One honest note: it is easy, not quick — every row is longer than the last.
